At Sons of The American Legion (S.A.L.), we honor the extraordinary service and sacrifice of our nation\u2019s veterans by continuing their legacy of dedication, patriotism, and service. Founded in 1932, S.A.L. is a proud program of The American Legion, bringing together males of all ages whose parents or grandparents served in the U.S. military and were eligible for American Legion membership.<\/p>\n

Here at Post 495 in Indianapolis, we\u2019re a dynamic and growing community of individuals committed to supporting veterans, giving back to our community, and standing together as part of the Legion Family.<\/p>\n

The Sons of The American Legion is more than just a program\u2014it\u2019s a brotherhood built on shared values, respect for service, and a commitment to America\u2019s ideals. Although S.A.L. has its own membership, we work hand-in-hand with The American Legion and Auxiliary, creating a powerful network dedicated to service and support.<\/p>\n

Together, The American Legion, American Legion Auxiliary, and Sons of The American Legion form the Legion Family, a nationwide community with nearly 4.2 million members. When you join S.A.L., you\u2019re not just joining a group\u2014you\u2019re becoming part of a legacy that spans generations.<\/p>\n
