ALR - American Legion Post #497 is hosting a dinner benefit for a fellow member of our Post who is fighting Liver and Lung Cancer and as of October 31st she has lost all her medical insurance.  She recently turned 63 and began collecting her Social Security benefits she is rightfully entitled to, upon receiving the additional check along with her Disability benefits she was already receiving the government says now she makes too much money and is dropping her medical insurance!  Absolutely ridiculous, she has appealed their decision and again denied medical insurance!!   She is going through chemotherapy treatments and fighting this awful disease time 2 in her case.

On top of the stress of literally fighting for her life and now desperately trying to determine how to pay for her treatments and lifesaving medications, she is raising her 7 year old daughter by herself.

Please come support a great cause and a great woman!

We're having a Taco Bar - $10 per person from 4pm - 8pm.

We'll also have items were raffling off, 50/50, etc. in hopes of raising as much money as possible!
